Acne
Many teens and young adults have issues with acne. Acne can come in many forms such as whiteheads, blackheads, pimples and cysts. It can be caused by a plethora of things such as clogged pores and bacteria. Some acne is not severe and may go away with age or over the counter remedies. However, for more severe or long lasting cases, the individual should seek professional treatment. In order to help prevent or reduce occurences of acne, watch your stress levels, what you eat and what type of facial products you are using. Remember that acne is normal, and it does not define who you are as person. Everyone is beautiful inside and out.
Men should look after their skin too! There has been a stigma surrounding men treating their skin how women are encouraged to treat their skin. Men’s skin is just as susceptible to break outs and skin issues. So to ensure the protection of your skin, create a skincare routine that contains a cleanser and moisturizer that works for you!
How does the environment impact our skin?
Sun: it can have harsh effects, such as burns on your skin. Make sure that you are still applying SPF even if you are in a colder climate. The sun rays are still damaging to the skin.
Pollution: It can cause skin irritation in many ways. In places where dust is heavily present, it can clog your pores and increase bacteria on the face. This can lead to small breakouts or even acne.
Humidity: High humidity can bring a lot to moisture to the skin, which can be very hydrating to dryer skin types. However, it can also produce excess sebum in the skin which can make the skin feel wet or greasy.
